Practice Focus:

Mr. Megally joined Al Markaz in September 2006 and is a Senior Associate in the firm's litigation department. Mr. Ismail litigates and advises on a broad range of matters including general and commercial litigation, and has acted in a number of complex and high-profile cases that involve the application of international trade law, corporate law, administrative law, real estate law, construction law, and capital market regulations. He has an extensive experience and expertise in corporate restructuring. Mr. Ismail holds over 20 years of PQE between Egypt and Kuwait.

Recent Representative Legal Matters:

• Successfully represented a major investment company in the State of Kuwait in the precedent-setting debt restructuring case.
• Acted as counsel on behalf of one of the largest Islamic Finance organizations in the MENA region, where for the first time in Kuwait, the Central Bank of Kuwait was compelled to revoke its decision to finally approve the company's 2008/2009 audited financials.
• Acted as counsel for a renowned Islamic investment company on a shares recovery matter; another case that was the first of its kind to be litigated in Kuwait.
