Nazih Hameed discusses legal requirements for foreign investors during the “Legal Framework for Investments in the MENA-region” conference in Frankfurt, Germany.

In January 2016, “the Legal Framework for Investments in the MENA-Region” conference took place at the premises of the KfW Bank in Frankfurt Main with the objective of addressing and discussing the key market opportunities that lie ahead of German entrepreneurs in the MENA Region. In addition, the conference included several sessions that addressed topics on financing possibilities in the MENA region, joint ventures and due diligence implementations, funding and related subjects. A particular focus was given to the legal frameworks of the different markets in the MENA-region, where Nazih Hameed, Senior Associate, had given a full presentation on the legal landscape and framework for foreign investment in the Kuwaiti market. The presentation covered main topics pertaining to the establishment, financing and ownership of foreign businesses in the State of Kuwait, ending with an extension of the topic through an open discussion between the various participants and Mr. Hameed. The Conference was organized by NUMOV, the German Near and Middle East Association, Germany's oldest and largest advocacy society for Middle-Eastern – German commercial relations with a mission to enhance business cooperation between Germany and the Middle East, KfW the third largest bank in Germany and GERMELA, a German-Middle Eastern legal and business consultancy network, active in 18 countries with more than 700 consultants and lawyers associated with their network. Participants from all the prominent industries attended the conference and added valuable insights and contributions, making it a great success.
