The Big 5 Kuwait

Al Markaz Law Firm was invited recently as a keynote speaker in a seminar organized by the Kuwait Big Five to discuss the opportunities and risks of doing business in Kuwait.

The seminar took place at the Kuwait International Fair, where Nazih Abdul Hameed, Senior Associate at Al Markaz Law Firm’s Corporate Advisory Department, addressed the topic of how to trade in Kuwait. Nazih is specialized in corporate and commercial law, construction law, mergers & acquisitions, Islamic finance, portfolios, Kuwait stock exchange (K.S.E), intellectual property law, arbitration and general consultancy with over 18 years of PQE between UK and Kuwait.

In his presentation, Nazih covered all aspects of doing business in Kuwait and clarified several issues that would guide foreign companies in their understanding of the scope and necessary procedures involved in setting up a business in the Kuwaiti market. Topics such as legal and administrative requirements and challenges for setting up businesses were discussed.

After the presentation, in a Q&A session, a wider discussion on the subject took place, resulting in additional key insights that constitute the bigger picture of trading in Kuwait.

Invitees of influential local and international decision makers and CEOs attended the seminar, taking an integral part in the discussion.
