Practice Focus:

Mr. Galal is an Associate in the firm’s Corporate Advisory Department. He emphasizes his practice in civil, corporate and commercial legal consultancy, and advises on matters of civil law, international trade Law, corporate law, and labor law. Mr. Galal has developed his practice in debt restructuring, banknote trade agreements, leasing and employment contracts. Prior to joining Al Markaz in May 2013, Mr. Galal practiced law for 2 years in Egypt with a German Law Firm.

Legal Representative Matters:

• Advised a leading oil and gas company on matters of employment law, including reviewing and submitting their company policy and employee handbook to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, as well as drafting employment agreements.
• Advised a leading exchange company on matters related to Banking and Money Laundry Law, including but not limited to reviewing and drafting banknote trade agreements, cash services agreements and labor agreements, as well as providing general consultancy to the company in relation to its activity.
• Advised a leading bank in Europe on the regulatory regime on activities related to investment and banking products in Kuwait.
• Acted as one of the team who advised a major investment company on the acquisition of a 90% stake in Kuwaiti cultural project valued at approximately KWD 10 million. This entailed conducting due diligence, designing the strategic, operation and legal structure of the acquisition, advising the client on the applicable laws and regulations in relation to this transaction, analyzing and minimizing the potential risks and liabilities associated or resulting from the deal.
• Advised leading international companies in entering the Kuwaiti Market through establishing companies and agencies.
